or: How Much is That Angel in the Window?

CUSTOM WORK

When discussing a budget for stained glass,
we actually have been asked the cost per angel...

...and whether cherubs are cheaper.

But that's not how we figure the cost of our work.
Using stained glass as an example,
among the many factors we consider
in pricing each custom project are:

SIZE: The basic cost of materials and time is based on the amount of each required to design and construct a window.
MATERIALS: Domestic or imported, machine made or hand-blown glass, even its color will affect the cost.

COMPLEXITY, STYLE & CONTENT: The more complex the design and construction, the more time required. Fully developed scenes with realistic figures and many little or intricately cut pieces of glass will require more time and money than simple symbols with little detail against a uniform or repeating background.

FRAMEWORK & LOCATION: The cost of installation is affected by the difficulty of securing the new window in its setting, or reaching it.

SO, HOW MUCH is that angel in the stained glass window?

It depends on how big and how detailed it is, what sort of scene or background surrounds it, and where and into what type of frame it will be installed.
All our custom glass work is designed to suit the needs, tastes, and and budget of each parish or congregation.
Likewise, our mosaics, carvings, sculptures, and metalwork are priced as individually as they are designed and fabricated.
Please contact the studio if your church is considering a stained glass project
or other liturgical art project.
We will work with you to create a work of art that is beautiful, meaningful, and valuable,
while at the same time will be designed to your budget and delivered on time!
